Local Eurekans David & Ethan Avanzino took ownership of the Wanderoo lodge in December 2020.

Scenario and Challenges
  • Decline in business due to COVID-19
    Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and international lockdowns, the greatest challenge for the new owners of the lodge was the business revival.

    Although domestic travel had opened up, occupancy percentage was still considerably low during the initial weeks of December.

    Social distancing and safety precautions were required to be prioritized to maintain the health of not just guests but also the staff.

Wanderoo Lodge hosted eight long term guests in the month of January; including three remote working professionals.
